September and October

September was an exciting month for Maya - she started at her playgroup, "Linda's house", where she plays with 5 other kids around the same age - Julian, Ian, Nicholas, Bode and her favorite, Caroline. She loves going to Linda's house, and wants to spend every night talking about what she did there.

We celebrated birthday week - first with Gloria's on Monday, then Daddy's on Thursday. Maya has gotten really good at signing the happy birthday song!



We also had a lot of fun apple & pumpkin picking this fall  - Daddy, there is no such thing as too many apples!! First we went to Belkin Look out farms with some of Maya's very first friends - the girls of Isis. Then we went to a nice orchard/winery with the Acamporas and Lilleys - Maya loved running around with August & Sophie. And then we went to Connecticut to meet Auntie Danielle - Maya loved her! She was so confused about how someone else can share Mommy's laugh!

Maya's 2nd birthday (parts 2 & 3)

So Maya is having a LOT of birthday parties (with Gloria before she left, with Grandma and Marc, and finally with Habgi, Halmi and Eddie!).  Her mommy did an amazing job redesigning our basement all for Maya (and Owen).

She's growing up so fast but we're enjoying every second.  She's really an amazing kid - whip smart (she can say the whole alphabet and count to 14 already), hilariously funny ( she loves to make funny faces just to make us laugh), caring and nurturing (she dotes over her little brother constantly), loving (says "I love you" unprovoked all the time), and really stinking cute.  She constantly amazes us at how quickly and easily she takes on whatever we challenge her with - from sleeping, taking away her pacifier, going to BH girl bed and now we're starting to potty train her - 2 days in and no accidents inside yet!  We love our little girl - stay the same amazing person you are forever!

Birthday month!!

Its June, Maya's birthday month! This year, we'll be skipping the big pig roast - instead there will be a series of more intimate parties with some of the people closest to Maya. The first one happened yesterday - it was Gloria's last day before spending some time with her family, so she threw Maya a party with some of her favorite nannies and friends. It was a beautiful day, and Maya had a great time being the Princess of the day!
