Maya is going to be a big sister!

And boy, is she ready to be! She loves babies SO much - every time we are with one of our friends who has a little baby, she is all over them, giving kisses and touching their little feet. Here is a picture of her at the library today, all over twin 11-month olds:

We had our 18-week ultrasound today and found out the baby is a boy!! We're both excited, and it feels so perfect to have one of each. Daddy won't be outnumbered anymore! :)

First Snow!

Our first snow in Wellesley!! Maya was intrigued, but she doesn't have the right gear yet to play in the snow. It came early this year!

Halloween 2012 Part 2

I got the pictures from Gloria - here is Maya's final Halloween costume, You are my Sunshine!!
She wouldn't wear the hat, so figured I would...

I love this picture in front of the house! It looks so cute!

Maya would NOT look at the camera... close enough!
Daddy trying the hat. He failed too!

Not sure what exactly Daddy was supposed to be...

Happy Halloween!!

We had a great 1st Halloween in Wellesley this year! Maya had 4 different costumes to choose from, which was perfect for all the various events we had.

First was a Halloween party at her future elementary school, Sprague, hosted by the Wellesley  Mother's Forum. Maya went dressed as a Strawberry, one of her favorite fruits! At the party, we saw our friends Charlotte and Kimmie, whose poor Mom had fallen and broken her leg recently. We also saw Jake & Rebecca with little Sophie, who is so similar to Maya, they hit it off fast! And lastly, we ran into Maya's boyfriend August, and Richard was finally able to have the talk with him.
Don't I look delicious?
Then we had some of Mommy's old work friends over for a Halloween party at our house.  Chuck & Trish brought their kids Cayleigh & Collin, Andy & Sean came with Evelyn, and Steve & Katie brought little Jack. Maya was super cute as a Minnie Mouse. Trish took this amazing picture of her on the slide.

You would be able to tell what I was better if I would actually wear the ears...
We were all a little nervous about what Halloween would look like after Halloween Sandy struck,  but luckily for us, the storm wasn't too bad in our area. Halloween turned out to be a pretty nice day... In the morning, Maya went to her music class dressed as a pumpkin.
What have you put me in??
And then later that night, she went trick or treating as the Sun! Sadly, I don't have any pictures of her from that night yet, Gloria is going to send me some...
Uncle Marc came over to trick or treat with us, and Maya stayed with him the whole time. She must have known he was the only one who could carry her for 2 hours.  It was fun meeting some of our neighbors and exploring the neighborhood - lots of great house decorations and Maya got a ton of candy (for Mommy & Daddy to eat!)
